new(s) year in a week
the inventor of instant ramen noodle cup died yesterday because of heart attack at the age of 96.
i have to thank you the late Mr. Momofuku Ando for his great invention. i used to wonder who invented instant noodle. its genius! in my opinion its comparable to bottled water. so simple yet nobody would've thought about it.
well, one less life mystery solved i guess.
on the other side, i went to grocery store with my gf today and cought a glimpse of the weekly counter magazine and saw oprah donated more than $40 million for building a school in africa.
although one could question what is the real motive of this trend of celebs donate or adopt kids from africa, but here is an interesting quote from oprah, "I became so frustrated with visiting inner-city schools that I just stopped going. The sense that you need to learn just isn't there. If you ask the kids what they want or need, they will say an iPod or some sneakers. In South Africa, they don't ask for money or toys. They ask for uniforms so they can go to school."
hmmm...what happen to 'though shall covet' is good for the economy?
ufo at o'hare airport?
i love conspiracy theory. well, this hasnt become a conspiracy yet but i would just love to hear the connection between the ufo and the wtc building collapsed. who knows some magical event would someday decide the fate of our life.
hey, even presidents have their own astrologer counselors...n you think im nuts?!
warm weather in january in chicago!
this is more like spring thanks to el niƱo or global warming (who cares, right? i do my part i recycle my papers & aluminum cans:). no complaints here, ...ummm maybe from al gore.
n about my new year resolutions? postponed until the chinese new year (2/18/07) hows that?
